I completely forgot about the remix video, it is just as delightful and seeing as how this is true I am happy to concede that the rigging was not done by you, but by Robert himself for being such a master of his craft. On another note, an R. Kelly only awards is an unbelievable idea. I'd like to vote and discuss videos as well as the boatloads of songs that we haven't been treated to a video experience with (such as numerous tracks from his underated 2008 album Double Up such as Sex Planet and The Zoo. I like both name ideas but would be open to changing the Kelly's to The Kel's.

I resent the implication that this was rigged, unless you mean that R. Kelly rigged it by creating such a tremendous video. My argument is as follows:

1. I surveyed the relatively few "Best of Decade" lists I could find and somewhat unscientifically chose what I felt were the most unanimous choices, being Weezer (inexplicably), White Stripes and Kels. Beyonce and Jay-Z were sort of on the fence here, but I thought they deserved a nod due to the widespread popularity of those songs and videos, and to give the nominees a little more color (no offense). This could only serve to hurt Kels by splitting, what I like to call, the Urban vote (no offense).

2. I further weakened Kelly's position by disqualifying his most talked about project ever (aside from the tape where he urinates on underage girls) and replacing it with a much less popular song that he doesn't even headline. If anything, I was handicapping him too much.

Now if you have a problem with him still dominating, I suggest you take it up with Mr. Robert Kelly himself. Maybe ask him why he's such a genius.

Next, your suggestion that we hold some sort of R. Kelly Only Awards is a wonderful idea. Consider it in the planning stages. Working title #1: The Kellys. Working Title #2: The KoRBs (King of R&B).

I couldn't help but notice that you omitted the I Wish Remix video from your thorough list. You know he wears an Iverson jersey to a funeral right?

I almost feel like this video of the decade vote was rigged. Reasoning being that Kelly could have had a whole countdown for himself. The 2000's gave us some of Kel's best material. The aforementioned Contagious (which get's my vote for this countdown), The trapped in the closet series, "the fiesta" remix video with Jay-Z and the beach party, The Ignition remix house party video, Step in the name of love on the party boat on Lake Michigan in the Chi, The World's Greatest video, and my personal favorite "I Wish" in which about half of the video is devoted to Kel's getting his hair braided. It was a loaded vote list!!
